The “OLD” Oak Tree

The Oak tree is recognized as the official state tree of Louisiana. 

Louisiana is rich in culture and southern beauty and is prideful in the old oak trees throughout the State. 

This piece is ominous to that “OLD OAK TREE” that brings back those nostalgic memories.

The Artist combined the idea of an Old Oak Tree in Jennings, Louisiana and- her roots of the Studio of Hometown where the Sallier Oak is located. 

The Original Oil Painting was commissioned by: Tresa Timpa

The Frame is made out of a Southwest Louisiana Tree, the Cypress- which around the same age as the one in the painting, around 250 years old.
