NICU
"NICU" (neonatal intensive care unit) is a Fleur De Lis design by Candice Alexander that represents an intensive care unit specializing in the care of ill or premature newborn infants with a clinical background and central fleur de lis decorated with medical machinery and a loving nurse. The first official ICU for neonates was established in 1961 at Vanderbilt University by Professor Mildred Stahlman, officially termed a NICU when Stahlman was the first to use a ventilator off-label to assist a baby with breathing difficulties.
This design is customizable and available on coasters, keychains, mugs, oven mitts, pot holders, license plates, phone cases, cutting boards, ornaments and more.
