Sodalite is a deep blue mineral with unique patterns that is considered an ornamental stone. In 1891 vast deposits of this material was found in Ontario, Canada. Sodalite became known as the "Princess Blue" by the Canadian people when the Princess Margaret of England visited Bancroft Canada, fell in love with the appearance of sodalite, and chose this mineral as the interior decoration for the “Marlborough House". This rosary reflects the beauty of the deep ocean with shell mother-of-pearl beads to separate the decades with aged pewter connectors and cross.
