The Blue Heron can often be seen standing tall and proud in shallow glades, or gliding gracefully across backwater bayous. Their distinct posture is instantly recognizable and their natural beauty stands out brilliantly against their habitat.

This unique piece of wood on which this noble bird is carved was pulled up from the bottom of the Sabine River and is nearly 1000 years old!
