Coyote

The full moon lights up the night sky in New Mexico and allows coyotes to see in dense, dark forests provoking hunting. This is when you will hear coyotes howling the most. They are not necessarily howling at the moon, however, the moonlight does lead to behaviors that cause the coyotes to communicate verbally to each other during the hunt.
